Before a chemical peel
First your face is analyzed during your consultation and then your skin type and color , current skin problems and concerns are accessed along with your current skin care regimen and products .clients should let us know of any skin sensitivities that may affect their treatment and outcome.
What happens During a chemical Peel ?
During a chemical peel nothing actually "peels" off! Your face will not be a raw open wound as is often depicted on T.V. dramas or comedies.
This is a common misconception that have prevented many from taking advantage of this highly beneficial treatment .
At The Mesotherapy Center we customize all treatments based on your goals and desires. We will choose the chemical peel that suits you best.
First your face is prepped with a toner and then the solution of choice is applied.
It is normal to feel warmth, tingling or mild stinging, some may feel nothing at all.
These sensations are transient and will only last a few minutes.
Next the peel is removed or neutralized and a soothing ph-balancing moisturizer will be applied to end the session.Most chemical peel sessions are only 10 to 15 minutes .
What are the results after a chemical Peel ?
Optimal results are generally seen within 7 to 14 days after a peel. The first few days your skin may feel a little dry and tight , your skin may have mild to moderate flaking as the regeneration of new tissue and tighter collagen emerges. This is easily remedied with moisturizer.Sunblock should be worn every day to protect the new cells.
